  • Oil lightly — Apply a few drops of mineral or olive oil to the Ziricote handle occasionally to maintain its rich finish.

  • Protect the edge — Store the knife in its sheath or on a magnetic strip; avoid contact with hard surfaces.

  • Maintain the sharpness — Use a fine whetstone or professional sharpening service to preserve the factory edge angle.

  • Care for the sheath — The vegetable-tanned leather may be treated periodically with a natural leather balm to retain suppleness and colour.
