Lion Sabatier knives have been made entirely in Thiers, France since 1812. The Ideal Ideal series is forged in the 100% traditional way from hard 4116N+ Nitro steel (58-60 on the Rockwell scale). This makes them hard enough to compete with Japanese knives. Despite the high hardness, they are still good to sharpen yourself with a ceramic sharpening steel.

The Sabatier Ideal series have a luxurious olive wood handle. Like every knife from Lion Is it perfectly finished with a seamless design and rounded corners.
