Sabatier knows how to use its many years of accumulated experience to make knives worthy of their reputation.
The company designs knives that are both original and stylish, using new and innovative processes. It offers quality blades to professional chefs in the restaurant trade, and to home chefs who cook for the family. Each range adapts to your needs and desires, offering you quality cuts at all times.
The Ideal series of kitchen knives is ideal for everyone, and perfectly bridges the gap between modernity and rusticity.
The blade of this 20cm Bread knife is made of high-grade stainless steel, to be both shockproof and corrosion-resistant, which is not insignificant in the kitchen. The stainless steel chosen is nitrogen-reinforced. The result is improved hardness and a longer-lasting cutting edge.
The blade is forged, i.e. shaped from a single piece of steel. It is shaped using high heat and a press to give it its final form. This process requires unique know-how, and promises high quality knives! You can feel it in the weight of the knife, which is heavier, fuller and therefore very pleasant to hold.
The teeth running along its cutting surface enable you to cut all types of crust to perfection.
The handle is highly original: it's made from olive wood, which is the wood most representative of Provence (hence the name of the kitchen knife series). It gives you an ideal grip, and great resistance over the long term. This strength is further enhanced by the 3 stainless steel rivets that run right through the handle, giving the whole knife a pleasant balance.
Each knife is also unique, since the handle is taken from a different part of the wood each time. The grain is specific, the color warm and deep. Olive wood also has a distinctive scent that is instantly recognizable.
The knives in the Ideal range are fine creations, bringing together the very best of French cutlery. They are as effective as they are aesthetic, and will be long-lasting additions to your kitchen equipment.
